Sweet’s syndrome (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis)

Sweet syndrome is skin disease and an unusual inflammatory disorder defined by the sudden appearance of painful, edematous, and erythematous papules, plaques, or nodules on the skin. Fever and leukocytosis usually associated the cutaneous lesions. additionally, involvement of the eyes, musculoskeletal system, and internal organs may be present.

Panel test:

·        Immunopathology:

o    Skin biopsy shows mixed infiltrate of neutrophils and histiocytes and evidence of vasculitis.

·        Other findings:

o   Neutrophilia, ESR and alkaline phosphatase.
